§ 6-86. Registration; possession of other animals.

  • (a)

    No person shall keep, harbor or maintain any mammalian animal, other than a dog, domestic house cat, or an animal which is a member of the order of lagomorpha or rodentia, unless it is registered with the city clerk. Livestock and wild animals are prohibited as set forth in subsection (b) of this section.

    (b)

    If such animal required to be registered under this section is a quadruped susceptible to rabies, no person shall own, keep, harbor or maintain such animal, unless it is immunized for rabies with a vaccine licensed for use specifically for said species of animal. The city clerk shall request from the owner evidence of compliance with this subsection at the time of registration.
